The exhibition “Vi Spejler Os i Ord/We See Ourselves Reflected in Words“ is created by anthropologist and documentary artist Arendse Reeh (b. 1997) in collaboration with participants from reading collectives at the Psychiatric Center Ballerup and the social center “Kompasset” — an activity and social space in Sundby. The exhibition seeks to document what literary reading collectives can offer people with lived experience of psychiatry — expressed through their own words, perspectives, and voices.
My role was to create the video installation and the visual identity for the exhibition and design all printed materials— including informational posters and a poetic wall piece — as well as promotional posters and social media animations announcing and visualizing the exhibition. The visual identity was developed to mirror the exhibition’s poetic and documentary nature — a calm, understated expression that allows the participants’ voices and stories to take center stage.
